Thursday Evening Forecast; A repeatable pattern underway

Posted: Updated:

Tonight's Forecast:
Monsoonal moisture in the air spells afternoon and early evening thundershowers. Obviously, in burn scar areas, there is the potential for flooding. Also, these storms are likely to be slow-moving, because the winds aloft are weak, so that means, there is also the potential for flooding almost anywhere a thundershower rolls through. Any hail is likely to be small near the I-25 corridor, could be a little beefier in eastern Colorado.

This pattern will repeat itself, more or less, through Monday, with Tuesday being a transitional day, back to dry, hot weather thereafter. So, get the rain barrels out, because it's coming, we can use it, and it will end early next week!

COLORADO SPRINGS: Low - 62, High - 86. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

PUEBLO: Low - 64, High - 95. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

CANON CITY: Low - 64, High - 93. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

TRI-LAKES: Low - 57, High - 82. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

PLAINS: Low - 66, High - 95. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: Low - 64, High - 90. T-showers ending early, clearing up. Sun Friday morning, afternoon T-showers likely.

WEEKEND OUTLOOK: More of the same for the weekend, with decent T-shower chances in the afternoons, and highs in the 80s and low 90s

Colorado is collecting so much money it may be required to send more than $200 million back to taxpayers over the next three years.  It's a surprising turn from this time a year ago, when lawmakers cleared out room under the state revenue cap to avoid budget cuts.
