Cheyenne Mountain comes back on Pueblo West, still alive in 4A State Baseball Tournament

Posted: Updated:
DENVER -

Cheyenne Mountain baseball will play one more game this season, at least.

Facing a 6-0 deficit in the sixth inning, the Indians rallied for seven runs in that inning to beat Pueblo West, 7-6 and survive in the 4A State Baseball Tournament.

Cheyenne Mountain will play Valor Christian in an elimination game and a chance to play the Cyclones again. Today's loss was their first in the double-elimination style tournament.

Junior Aaron Burkhoff hit a three-run triple to cap their seven run six inning two-out rally to take the lead and not give it up.
