COLORADO SPRINGS -

Colorado Springs Police officers were dispatched to a reported disturbance at a home where a man allegedly threatened his wife with a gun.

Police said officers were dispatched to 6600 Sproul Lane just before 1:30 a.m. Sunday. The victim told officers her husband was drunk and yelling at her, and had threatened her with a gun.

The victim said her husband shot a round through the floor before leaving the room, according to CSPD. The victim called 911 but wasn't sure if the man was still in the home.

Officers were able to make contact with the victim and helped remove her safely from the home, police said. The suspect was not found, but officers did find a hole in the upstairs floor matching the victims description of the gunshot.

Police said the suspect was believed to have fled in a newer model Mercedes, but later returned where he was taken into custody without incident. The suspect was identified as 78-year-old Timothy Okey who is facing a Felony Menacing charge.
