Possible suspect sketch released in case of murdered teen

Posted: Updated:

The Park County Sheriff's Office released a sketch Friday morning of a man seen at the house where a teenager was found dead.

The sheriff's office posted on Facebook the sketch of the man along with a possible vehicle and items that were taken from the home where 17-year-old Maggie Long was killed.

The items were previously announced as missing from the house along County Road 43 in Bailey and include a green safe, a Beretta 9mm, an AK-47 style rifle and jade figurines.

Investigators said the home had been set on fire and that they found clear signs there had been a burglary. Detectives also released new information Friday that 2000 rounds of ammunition were stolen as well.

Detectives have said Long was killed December 1 sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. inside of the home.

The reward for information in her murder has grown to $25,000. Anyone with information is asked to call the tip-line at 303-239-4243.
