CDOT to hold more meetings regarding widening of I-25

Posted: Updated:

The Colorado Department of Transportation recently announced it will be hosting "listening sessions" and telephone town halls in regards to the proposed widening of I-25 between Monument and Castle Rock.

The meetings began Jan. 30, and will continue throughout the month of February. Eight listening sessions have been scheduled. CDOT has described the sessions as small, informal public meetings at libraries and other venues in communities affected by the project.

In regards to the meetings, CDOT Executive Director Michael Lewis said, "CDOT is coming to a neighborhood near you to inform and listen. Providing a variety of public outreach opportunities is essential for the convenience of motorists and residents who want to learn more and ask questions."
