Broncos snap losing streak, beat Jets 23-0

Posted: Updated:

Rejoice Broncos country, the nightmare is finally over. After losing eight consecutive games the Broncos offense and defense put together a full game and downed the New York Jets 23-0.

Trevor Siemian looked comfortable under center finding Demaryius Thomas for a touchdown in the 1st quarter and Brandon McManus knocked three of four field goals to pad the Broncos offensive resurgence.

As for the defense, they got back to their old ways forcing two turnovers and stopping the Jets offense in its tracks on nearly every drive Sunday.

For the Broncos it's a return to the style of football they feel they can play every week and hopefully a sign of things to come to finish out the season. Unfortunately, that's the best Denver can hope for as the Broncos were officially eliminated from playoff contention before kick-off on Sunday.

Playing for pride the rest of the way, starting next week against the Colts in Indianapolis and then on Christmas Eve in Washington taking on the Redskins.
