COLORADO -

Did you happen to see the strange lights moving across the night sky and flashing in unison last night?

Well if you did, you weren't the only one. People all across the country, from the East coast to Colorado reported seeing the strange lights moving across the sky last night, Saturday, Dec. 9.

News stations across the country received calls from concerned viewers reporting the unusual lights. As to what the lights were was anybody's guess. Some suggested UFOs, while others thought it might have been Santa, out practicing for the upcoming Christmas holiday.

It seems it was neither of those things. We learned from KUSA in Denver, that the lights moving in unison were from a group of 12 or 13 C-17 cargo jets.

The large aircraft took off from a base in Charleston, South Carolina and traveled cross-country to Nevada for a training exercise. It is reported that the exercise involved HALO drop, high altitude military parachuting coordinated between multiple airborne military installations. These actions were part of a joint forcible entry exercise that is routinely performed.
