Police search for attempted murder suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS -

Colorado Springs Police are looking for a man who they said assaulted his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday in the 3700 block of East La Salle Street.

Officers said 26-year-old Aloysious R. Lucero is facing several charges including attempted first degree murder.

He's described as a light-skinned Hispanic man, six foot tall, 208 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Detectives said he has a distinctive mole on his lower right chin area.

Detectives from the special victims section, domestic violence and sexual assault unit worked together on the investigation.
