Colorado Springs firefighters said a home on Wicklow Circle near Dublin and Academy is uninhabitable after a house fire Wednesday night.
A woman who was inside the home got out safely.
Firefighters said flames were shooting out the front window of the home when they first got to the scene.
CSFD said the frigid weather presented its own challenges to put the fire out.
"So our water starts running down to our access point so that freezes, because its cold and when it starts freezing. Like everybody else, we start slipping and sliding," said CSFD Lt. Fred Varnell.
Firefighters said they're investigating what caused the fire.
