Wednesday Evening Weather: Frigid Night Ahead

Posted: Updated:

It's been a chilly day and temperatures will drop tonight. Lows will be in the single digits and teens. Best chance for snow this evening and overnight will be for the higher elevations west of I-25 and the I-25 corridor south of Pueblo. Any accumulations should be minor. Thursday will be another cold day with highs only in the 30's. Breezy winds will make it feel even colder with windchills in the teens at times during the day. A few light snow showers will try to get going during the second half of the day near the Pikes Peak Region and the southern I-25 corridor. A few inches could be possible through the evening and overnight for Teller County and the Palmer Divide.

After Thursday we see some improvement in conditions. Temperatures return to the 50's beginning on Friday, but it'll be a windy day to end the work and school week. The weekend looks great with sunny skies and highs in the 50's to low 60's. Winds will be a little breezy for the start of the new week, but we'll keep sunshine and highs in the 50's to start the new work and school week.
