First Alert 5 Forecast: Brace Yourself for some Cold Weather!

Posted: Updated:

Today turned out to be a pretty decent day, weather-wise that is.  Southerly winds were able to fend off the northerly winds and give us a day of seasonal highs and light winds.  Tonight, clear skies and gentle breezes and the temperature drops into the lower teens along I-25, single digits in the high country.

On Wednesday, a reinforcing shot of cold air will move through and keep us in the mid 30s all day.  Plenty of sunshine, but cold.  Wind chills when you wake up will be in the single digits to lower teens.  On Thursday, we will bottom out with our cold air and temperatures Thursday morning will be in the lower teens to single digits, with wind chills ranging from -5 to +5.

If you're not a fan of cold weather, not to worry!  A large ridge of high pressure will move our way and by Friday, we'll be back into the 50s, close to 60 by Saturday.
