600 Christmas trees given to Fort Carson Soldiers

Posted: Updated:
COLORADO SPRINGS -

Fort Carson soldiers will receive 600 real Christmas trees as part of the 'Trees for Troops' program.

The Trees for Troops program joins together with FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and tree farmers across America to deliver real trees to service members throughout the U.S. and overseas.

This is the 13th year the program has made the holidays a little easier for military families.

Trees for Troops has reportedly delivered over 200,000 trees to service members at nearly 65 military bases.

Each tree will include a letter of gratitude and encouragement, with hopes to bring a little more joy to those serving this holiday season.
