The ride sharing service Lyft has added a new feature to its service in Colorado. The new program is called "Ski Rack Mode," and will be offered in six Colorado mountain regions.

The service is designed to allow passengers to use Lyft to get to and from their favorite ski spot with their gear in tow. Drivers participating in the new program must have vehicles equipped with ski racks and certify them as "snow ready." Lyft will also offer discounts to riders during the initial phases of the program.

The service will be offered in Summit, Vail, Aspen, Steamboat Springs, Telluride, and Winter Park. The only location outside of Colorado that the program will initially be offered is Salt Lake City.
