Since its inception, Colorado Gives Day has raised more than $145 million. This year, the Colorado Gives Foundation and First Bank have teamed up to create a fund giving an extra $1 million to non-profits, including Care and Share Food Bank.

Care and Share tells News 5 they're hoping to raise $60,000 this year. It's all possible thanks to you! Last year, almost $34 million was raised for non-profits across the state. Care and Share is off to a great start. They just received a generous donation of $44,000 from Safeway.

Hopefully, we can top that! We'll be tracking that for you in the days ahead.
