Mobile church stolen in Denver, some items recovered in the Springs

Posted: Updated:
COLORADO SPRINGS -

Police say the theft of storage trucks and trailers is a problem this time of year. A mobile church in Denver fell victim to this, today they were in Colorado Springs recovering some of their stolen items.

Sunday morning, the "Lifegate Mobile Church" in Denver discovered a truck and trailer filled with worship materials was gone. A property management company in Colorado Springs found some discarded items near a dumpster with the church's name on it and contacted police.

Although they were able to recover the found items, there's still a lot missing, including the truck and trailer.

''Valued things that are very specific to our church; banners, signs, equipment, very specific to us, and then a lot of high end, expensive audio, video and media gear,'' said Lead Pastor Nirup Alphonse.

The truck is described as a white Ford-250 pulling a 22-foot white trailer. If you have any information regarding this incident please contact Colorado Springs or Denver Police.
