Multiple adorable puppies rescued in Weld County

Posted: Updated:

The Weld County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported traffic complaint, but it wasn't the typical complaint.

The reporting party said that multiple puppies were running around in the road, and the caller was concerned they'd get hit by a car. Yes that's right, PUPPIES!

The call was made over the weekend in the 6700 block of Weld County Rd 21.

Upon arrival, deputies say puppies were running all over the road. Animal Control and a deputy managed to get the puppies off the road, in an attempt to get them back onto the property where they were suspected to have come from.

But, they were persistent, and kept finding a way out. Deputies knew the puppies would keep running into the roadway if they left, and couldn't take the risk of them being hit. Deputies decided to take the puppies to the Evans Humane Society.

There was an attempt to contact the owners, but deputies had no luck. None of the animals had a collar or a chip identifying where they came from.

The Weld County Sheriff's Office is now asking the public, if anyone knows the owners of these beautiful puppies, please call (970) 356-4015, option 1.
