Lantern Fest in Pueblo County rescheduled yet again

Posted: Updated:

The sold out Lantern Fest, which was supposed to happen Saturday Dec 2, at I-25 speedway in Pueblo County, has been postponed.

According to the Lantern Fest Facebook page, the event has been rescheduled a number of times, and was supposed to happen at noon today.

But the event's Facebook page has yet again rescheduled the event to May 2018. This is the statement received by Lantern Fest:

"First of all, Lantern Fest would like to apologize for the situation we have put our customers in regarding Denver and Colorado Springs Lantern Fest events. Due to legal concerns, we were unable to provide refunds until we had a new date and venue. In saying that, we are officially bringing Lantern Fest back to Colorado. If you are unable to make the new date and location, please use the link below to begin the refund process. Your refund will be processed in the next 5 to 8 weeks and a check will be mailed directly to you. Again, we apologize to our customers and hope to rebuild the relationship with a city we love. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you at the event!"

According to the owner of I-25 Speedway Chris Cullen, the venue has not actually been booked for this date for the event.

The speedway is not involved in the planning of the Lantern Fest event.

The event has been sold out, however the event is offering refunds, for the link click here
