CSPD arrests suspect in connection to Willamette Ave. homicide

Colorado Springs Police arrested a woman in connection to a homicide in the 2400 block of E. Willamette Ave. Wednesday.

Police said they arrested 41-year-old Jennifer Leigh Calhoon from Colorado Springs on suspicion of first-degree murder charges. 

Police responded to a rental property in the 2400 block of East Willamette around 12:23 p.m. for a welfare check. When they entered the home, they found the man's body which appeared to have suffered serious trauma.

Police have not released more specific details about how the man may have died, or the victims's identity.

Police said it is still an active investigation, and they are asking for help in their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000.
