Pueblo Parade of Lights kicks off Christmas season

Posted: Updated:
PUEBLO -

The Pueblo Parade of Lights will officially kick off the Christmas season. This has been a Pueblo tradition for 28 years, and is one of the largest Christmas parades in Colorado.

After enjoying the Thanksgiving holiday, the parade welcomes the Christmas spirit with festive, colorful, creative floats, marching bands, drill teams, and of course the man himself, Santa Claus.

KOAA News 5 has been part of the parade for many years, and will be in the parade as part of the holiday lineup.

Thousands of people gather for the parade every year in support of local businesses and organizations, the parade begins at 5:30 p.m. at Colorado Ave and Abriendo, ending on 6th Street between Court and Grand.

Parking for visitors is available in lots at Victoria and D Street, South Main St and D Street near the Riverwalk, and on 3rd Street between Court and Grand. There may be additional parking along the route also.
