Donations needed for Victory World Outreach Coat Drive

Posted: Updated:
COLORADO SPRINGS -

The season of giving is here and you at home can help families stay warm in this cold weather by donating new or gently used coats.

Folks at Victory World Outreach want to make sure that everyone in the community who needs a coat has one. They're off to a great start, but they need your help! They're collecting coats, jackets, hats, gloves - you name it!

It's all part of their annual Thanksgiving dinner, which takes place this Friday. This is an event they've been holding for 19 years and this year they're expecting up to 2,500 people. Folks from all over Colorado Springs will be bused to the location, where there will be free food, a concert, and they'll be giving away all the donated coats and gloves to those in need!

They need food donations too! That includes green beans, turkeys, hams, stuffing and more. For a full list of items needed click here

You can drop off your donations between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. at Victory World Outreach at 3150 South Academy or give them a call at (719)-392-1231 and someone can come pick them up.
