First Alert 5 Forecast: Morning Fog and With Warmer But Still Chilly Afternoon Temps

Posted: Updated:

Today will be one of the warmer days of the week... but more cloud cover and morning fog will still keep it very chilly through the area. Fog kept the morning commutes slow through Colorado Springs but it will keep decreasing through the morning.

Under the cloudy skies and a light easterly wind, highs will warm into the very low 50s from Colorado Springs to Pueblo, but areas west and into the mountains more like Canon City and Woodland Park should be closer to the mid to upper 50s with a few spots south such as Trinidad and Walsenburg hitting the 60s! Tonight a northerly breezy will bring the dew points down, making the air fog free and very dry as lows fall into the mid 30s.

The weekend looks chilly, but decent with Saturday being the nicest day. Highs will be in the upper 50s and low 60s on Saturday with a another cold front knocking Sunday's temperature into the low to mid 50s. We are going to stay dry all weekend and through the majority of next week. Temperatures will start in the 60s early next week and then fall into the 50s towards the end.
