COLORADO SPRINGS -

Colorado Springs police arrest the man they say assaulted a female store clerk during a robbery on Wednesday near downtown.

32-year-old John Uaisele is now linked to six total robberies taking place in the city of Colorado Springs, in a crime spree that started on October 1 with an 8:30 a.m. robbery at a Shell gas station on Academy Blvd.

In each case, police say the suspect threatened and terrorized victims. In at least four of the cases, suspects threw large rocks at the victims and then took the cash drawer. Other victims reported being threatened with a large knife and being forced to unlock the door.
