Second suspect arrested in connection to East Platte homicide

Colorado Springs Police arrested a second suspect wanted in connection to a homicide off of E. Platte Ave. on Oct. 30.

CSPD's tactical enforcement unit took 23-year-old Deddrick Davonte Hill into custody Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree murder. Prior to his arrest, Police considered Hill to be armed and dangerous.

Officers had also arrested a 16-year-old in connection to the crime Sunday.

Hill and the teenager are suspected of killing 24-year-old Conte Emanuel Smith’El on Oct. 30 in the 2200 block of East Platte Ave. Police have released no other information about what led up to the killing.
