Pueblo holds public event to discuss air quality impacts on health

According to a media release Pueblo County has one of the unhealthiest physical environments in the state, ranked 53rd out of the 58 reporting counties. Experts says pollution is the largest environmental cause of disease and premature death in the world today.

Members of the community are welcome to the Center for Health Progress in Pueblo to discuss how air pollution impacts the health of families in in Pueblo. They will also review findings from the recent Pueblo community health opinion survey.

The event is being lead by a panel of local public health leaders. 

The event is being held Wednesday, Nov 8 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Patrick Lucero Library at 1315 E 7th Ave in Pueblo.

    A Colorado woman is facing a $500 fine for a free apple that was given to her on a Delta flight. Crystal Tadlock was on her way home from Paris, when she said she was given an apple from a flight attendant. "The violation is for one apple," said Tadlock.

    Colorado Springs Police have confirmed one person is dead following a shooting in the 5100 block of Airport Road Sunday night. Police said one person has died, and another has been transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
