Public Health and Safety advisory issued for medical marijuana strains

A public health and safety advisory has been issued in Colorado due to the use of unsafe pesticide residues on medical marijuana plants and products cultivated by Tree of Wellness INC, dba Tree of Wellness.

The warning was issued in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order, the Colorado Department of Revenue (DOR) in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE). 

CDPHE and DOR say this is a threat to public health and safety when pesticides that are not on the list of approved pesticides for marijuana use determined by the CDA. The CDA confirmed the presence of the Off-Label pesticides, Myclobutanil, in the product samples tested.

Affected products include marijuana flower, trim, concentrates, and infused-products. Consumers who have the affected products in their possession should return them to the medical center where they were purchased.
