Colorado Springs Police arrested two teenagers suspected of stealing a woman's purse filled with candy on Halloween night.

Officers arrested 18-year-old Terrance Hester and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of attempted aggravated robbery and aggravated robbery Tuesday.

Around 6:20 p.m., Police said Hester and the boy pulled up in a silver SUV in the 6300 block of Galway Drive, pointed a gun at someone and demanded their phone. When the person refused to hand it over, the suspects drove away.

A little after around 8 p.m., police said the same suspects pointed a gun at a woman and took her purse full of candy near South Murray Blvd. and Sandpiper Drive. Shortly afterward, officers stopped a car matching earlier descriptions with Hester and the teenager inside.

Police said they found the victim's purse inside the SUV and a gun matching the description of the one used in the robberies near the area of the traffic stop. Officers said they think it was thrown from the vehicle.
