Each school year we at KOAA partner up with schools across southern Colorado to deliver a storm safe talk with local students.

First Alert 5 Meteorologist Jessica Van Meter visited second grade students at Webster Elementary School in Widefield Wednesday to talk about the different types of severe weather Southern Colorado experiences and how to stay safe in storms.

The kids were excited to learn about the different weather events our area.
