Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame inducts 2017 class

The 2017 class of the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame was officially inducted Tuesday night at the Broadmoor World Arena.

Former Air Force coach, Hank Egan, Pikes Peak Hill Climb legends the Donner Family, Lewis-Palmer alumni and NBA veteran Pat Garrity, Colorado College soccer legend Janine Szpara and the 1998 US Women's Hockey Team were among those honored at the awards banquet.

Former Fountain-Fort Carson football coach, Mitch Johnson was also honored with the Col. F. Don Miller Sports Service Aware for his 29-years at the helm of the Trojans program leading them from 2A to 5A as the program grew.
