Here's a look at 5 Sports Director Grant Meech's picks of the 5 Games to Watch in Week 8 of the Friday Football Fever.

GAME OF THE WEEK - 4A #9 PUEBLO SOUTH vs. CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN: Cheyenne Mountain has been one of the surprise teams of the season, sitting at 5-2 through seven games, so why not an upset on Friday night? The Indians look really strong under first year head coach Jay Saravis. Their home field advantage is incredible, surrendering only 14 points in four games at home. On the other sideline, the Colts are a strong candidate to make it to the 4A state title game. Their only loss came at the hands of Pueblo West in double overtime by a single point. Pueblo South will have to tangle with the Indians running attack on Friday night.

FINAL: Pueblo South 49, Cheyenne Mountain 14

4A #7 PUEBLO WEST vs. MESA RIDGE: The Grizzlies are looking to solidify themselves in the 4A RPI standings after four straight wins. A win vs. Pueblo West would really help their rise. The Cyclones are coming off their first loss of the season and would like nothing more than to get back in the win column. Mesa Ridge is averaging 40 points a game at home, the West defense is averaging 17 points a game - something's gotta give right?

FINAL: Pueblo West 47, Mesa Ridge 23

3A #9 CANON CITY vs. DISCOVERY CANYON: Canon City will be tested for a full 48 minutes vs. Discovery Canyon. The Tigers have been very strong all season except their shutout loss to Palmer Ridge in week five. Their offense needs to find a new gear for the final stretch run to the playoffs or it could be a short run. The Thunder look like they have found their form over the last two weeks, outscoring their opponents 80-20 since their last loss. If DCC want to make it back to another 3A state title game, they can not afford another loss on their record.

FINAL: Cañon City 41, Discovery Canyon 21

5A #7 GRANDVIEW vs. DOHERTY: The Spartans can ill afford another loss on their record if they want to make the 5A playoffs again. 4-1 over their last five games, this three game closing stretch will test their medal and it begins vs. Grandview. The Wolves look stingy on defense giving up just 19 points in their last three games. Doherty needs to find their spark on offense again. Two of their three final games are at home.

FINAL: Grandview 42, Doherty 2

PUEBLO COUNTY vs. 3A #4 HARRISON: THE Surprise team of the year is the Harrison Panthers. 7-0 right now, their best start in school history. They will look to continue it vs. Pueblo County Friday night. Aumiere Shedrick and Orlando Westbrook have been a great tandem through seven games combining for 18 touchdowns. Two of their final three games feature teams with losing records and both of them are at home.

FINAL: Pueblo County 28, Harrison 3

FINAL: Palmer Ridge 26, Thomas Jefferson 6

FINAL: Pine Creek 56, Air Academy 0

FINAL: Lamar 49, Classical Academy 6

FINAL: Vista Ridge 54, Littleton 0
