Save time with new DMV 24/7 kiosks

Posted: Updated:

The Department of Motor Vehicles hopes to make things easier for car owners by opening up a new walk-up kiosk in Colorado Springs Friday.

El Paso County has the kiosk available for car owners to use a do-it-yourself touch screen to register vehicles in just minutes. There are 24/7 kiosks in the Union Town Center on North Union Blvd.

Customers can scan the bar code on the side of their renewals, offering the ability to pay with credit, debit, cash or check.

''It was easy, convenient, and it's nice that I could do it in the middle of the night, if I wanted to do it, or if there is long lines at the DMV, I can walk in and use the kiosk and and get in and out pretty quick it seems like,'' said the first user of the new kiosks.

There is also a kiosk available in the Citizen's Service Center on Garden of the Gods Rd. The county is planning on opening two more at the Powers Blvd and Downtown branches coming soon.
