BBB warns public a Colorado Springs roofing company is not accredited

Posted: Updated:

After completing an investigation of ProTeam Roofing and Restoration Inc. in Colorado Springs, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Southern Colorado has announced the company is not an accredited business.

The BBB warns people the business has an F rating, the company's accreditation was revoked in September due to unresolved complaints.

Consumers have reported losses totaling over $90,000 through the BBB of Southern Colorado Dispute Resolution Process.

The BBB says in one case the consumer stated signing a contract with the company to perform roofing and siding work, the contract allegedly stated the consumer needed to pay the full contact price of $17,000 before the work was started.

The contract also allegedly stated the roofing company waived the deductible for the work, but Senate Bill 38 prohibits a roofing contractor from waiving a deductible.

The BBB claims to have processed and closed 12 complaints against ProTeam Roofing and Restoration in the past 36 months, the majority of the complaints involved issues with products and services.

“BBB pro-actively identifies marketplace practices that are deceptive, misleading, unethical or should be called into question,” said Jonathan Liebert, CEO and executive director of Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado.

The Better Business Bureau says the roofing company is located 6190 Lake Shore Court, Unit 120, with the CEO owner identified as Chris Justice.
