CSPD locates guardian of girl found out in the cold

The Colorado Springs Police Department asked for help Monday morning locating the family of an at-risk girl found wandering out in the cold.

As of 7:50 a.m., authorities report they have located the girl's guardian.  Thank you to everyone who called in with tips.

The approximately 13-15 year old girl was located before 6 a.m. in the 5700 block of Cisco Drive in Colorado Springs. Officers state she was wearing a pink t-shirt and gray sweat pants. She is now safe and warm with officers.

Authorities have not detailed how she may have wandered out during the early morning hours, or how long she was alone.
