"Dogs on Catwalk" event held to raise money for CSPD protective gear

Posted: Updated:

COLORADO SPRINGS - Local businesses, Furry Friends Inc and Rocky Mountain Chiropractic & Sports Rehab, PLLC have come together to sponsor a "Dogs on a Catwalk" community event Saturday.

The event featured a doggie fashion show and silent auction to benefit Colorado Springs Police Department with protective gear. The event was held at the Woodmen Shopping Center at 3586 C. Hartsel Drive in Colorado Springs.

All proceeds from the event are being donated in support of Shield 616 in helping supply police officers with body armor.

Those sponsoring the event say the event is to help protect those who protect us. Local businesses are supporting the cause with generous donations to be auctioned off at the event.

A chiropractor from Rocky Mountain Chiropractic & Sports Rehab, PLLC has already donated 2,000 from patients towards the cause.
