Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is denying reports there's a split between himself and the President Trump over policy.  Tillerson says he has never considered leaving his cabinet-level position.

"I'm just not going to be part of this effort to divide this administration," told reporters during a brief statement Wednesday morning.

According to NBC News, tensions with President Trump are strained over comments at the Boy Scouts of America convention, the president's refusal to tear up the Iran nuclear deal, and the president's controversial comments about racial unrest in Charlottesville.

NBC News reported Wednesday morning that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was on the verge of resigning in July during policy disputes with the White House. However, Tillerson was talked out of leaving his cabinet-level position by allies in the administration, including Defense Secretary James Mattis, Chief of Staff John Kelly and Vice President Mike Pence.

Tillerson denies he was ever approached by others in the administration and had to be convinced to stay in his position.
