There are new flights coming to Colorado's regional airports near ski resorts for the upcoming ski and snowboard season.

Steamboat Springs expanded its destinations, adding non-stop service to Austin and Kansas City. Aspen Snowmass will feature expanded service from American Airlines from Chicago O'Hare and Dallas-Fort Worth  as well as a new non-stop flight from Phoenix.

Montrose-Telluride is also offering new service from Charlotte, N.C. on American Airlines and Delta Airlines will offer special service around the Christmas and New Year holidays from Salt Lake City to that airport.

Boutique Air will also start flights from Denver to Alamosa this winter, which is within driving distance of Wolf Creek, Purgatory, Silverton and Telluride.

If flying isn't your thing, you can also ride the Amtrak Winter Park Express from Denver's Union Station, which will offer expanded service for the 2017-2018 season following a busy 2016-17 season.

The train offers round-trip rides each Saturday and Sunday and will offer rides during several Fridays this season (Jan. 1, Feb. 2, and March 2). The train departs at 7 a.m., arrives at 9 a.m and returns to Union Station at 6:40 p.m.

Fares are as low as $29 each way for some departures. The train begins running Jan. 5 and will end on March 25.
