Memorial service held for family killed in plane crash

FORT COLLINS -

The Fort Collins family who were killed in a plane crash in Garfield County earlier this month were honored on Friday in a memorial service.

Services were held at the Timberline Church, and were open to the public. Jeff Makepeace, 47, Jennifer Makepeace, 45, Addison Makepeace, 10, and Benjamin Makepeace, 10, all of Fort Collins, Colorado, died on Friday, September 15, 2017.

Their private plane crashed in unincorporated Garfield County about 10 miles north of Glenwood Springs.

Jeff Makepeace was the owner of Lind's Plumbing and Heating in Fort Collins. Friends and family members described them as fun loving and always on an adventure together. T

he family was traveling to Moab, Utah when they crashed. The NTSB is still investigating what caused the plane to go down.
