DIA welcomes a new therapy cat

Posted: Updated:

DENVER - The Denver International Airport (DIA) announced the welcoming of a new therapy kitty named Xeli. According to DIA the kitty was a big hit around the airport and people can look out for her starting October 13.

DIA provides a Canine Airport Therapy Squad (CATS) program that allows travelers to relieve stress by interacting with a therapy dog throughout the airport. DIA says all therapy dogs are registered with the Alliance of Therapy dogs and are trained and insured.

Xeli will be joining her canine coworkers as a part of the CATS program to provide relief in stress and anxiety for passengers. She is a domestic short hair, weighing 12 pounds and loves people.
