SUV stolen from local carwash, police search for suspect

COLORADO SPRINGS - According to police reports an SUV was stolen from the Water Works Carwash, Monday. Reports say a suspect approached a carwash employee and told the worker he was in a hurry and needed his vehicle.

The suspect then apparently jumped into the SUV and fled the scene where he struck a parked vehicle on S. Weber Street. The suspect then drove northbound but the vehicle was too damaged to drive.

Witnesses told Police the suspect was bleeding from his face, but no other parties were injured in the accident. 

Police say the suspect fled on foot, he is described as a Hispanic or white male, 5'7", wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and green hat.
