Garett Bolles sidelined with leg bruise

Posted: Updated:

As Broncos fans watched Garett Bolles disappear down the tunnel Sunday, there was a general unease. The 2017 first round pick had just been carted off after injuring his leg on a short run by Jamaal Charles and everyone held their breath hoping the rising superstar would be okay to play.

He wouldn't return to the game but Monday morning provided some much needed good news as Bolles had a leg bruise and was listed as week-to-week.

Head Coach Vance Joseph spoke on the injury saying, "We're lucky it wasn't serious, we dodged a bullet in my opinion."

Bolles filled a gaping hole at the left tackle position this offseason and his absence would be felt on an offensive line that is just starting to find its rhythm in 2017.
