Yellow Cab service ending in Colorado Springs

Posted: Updated:

COLORADO SPRINGS - After nearly 100 years of service in the Pikes Peak Region, the iconic Yellow Cab brand is being retired. According to a press release zTrip a new transportation service will be launching on September 21 replacing yellow cabs.

“zTrip is committed to the customer, the drivers and the communities in which they serve. Our passion is community service”, said Scott Holisky, General Manager of zTrip of Colorado Springs.

The new transportation service claims to have no surge pricing, low prices regardless of time, 24/7 live customer service and wheelchair accessible vehicles. zTrip also features a hail service where you can hail a car on the street as opposed to waiting for a car to arrive.

A Kick-Off event will be held at Weidner Field, September 21 to say farewell to Yellow Cab and welcome zTrip. The event is from 4:30-8:30 p.m. with live music, food trucks and beer tastings from Pikes Peak Brewery.
