Posted: Updated:
FLORENCE -

Florence Police responded to a burglary of a local business early Friday in Florence. According to Police, two trucks were taken, and another vehicle had several items stolen from it.

The two vehicles include a blue 1999 Ford F250 with "Langston Concrete" on the side, and Colorado license plate 667 SIK. The other is vehicle a 2005 Ford F150 with "Langston Concrete" on the side, and Colorado license plate 791 PRQ.

"Very unusual for us, we've never had that many in one night, in that manner, especially both stolen cars and break-ins so it's unusual for us," Mike DeLaurentis, the Florence Chief of Police said. "We've actually put on extra patrols and more officers at night now starting tonight to see if we can try to combat that and stop it."

In a recent report Police also discovered items had been stolen from a mini van during the incident, including a Fremont County Sheriff's 616 shield and armored gear. Both vehicles were last seen in Coal Creek, Rockvale area around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning. The blue truck was recovered in Pueblo on Friday evening.

Police do not believe the thefts from the construction lot are related to the string of break-ins across town.

The search continues for remaining truck and mini-van.

If anyone has any information on any of the above stolen vehicles or break-in please call Fremont Crime Stoppers (719)-275-7867.
