CSU Pueblo fall enrollment declines

PUEBLO - The Colorado State University-Pueblo announced 2017 fall enrollment had an overall decline. CSU-Pueblo President Timothy Mottet said a decline was projected based on national trends, University demographics and enrollment trends.

A decline of 4.5 percent from 2016 was shown as overall enrollment was 4,242 and is now 4,053. But, the 2017 Fall student population represents 39 states and 33 countries.

Mottet was pleased with the higher number of international students enrolled compared to last year. According to a media release, the student population is one of the most diverse in Colorado at 46 percent minority and 32 percent Hispanic.
