Colorado Springs boutique new lice technology

Posted: Updated:

COLORADO SPRINGS - The "Lice and Easy" boutique in Colorado Springs has new technology that is the supposed solution to this itchy problem. Experts say lice have mutated and current treatments are less effective.

''Like in antibiotics that's forty to fifty years old, it just doesn't have the efficacy that it used to and the latest studies are finding that the over the counter products are only about twenty to forty percent effective,'' says boutique owner Kelli Boswell.

This new technology forces heated air into the scalp and hair killing the parasites. This method does not use chemicals, and is easier on children who are the most common victims.

FDA tests show the procedure nearly 100 percent effective and guaranteed to last for 30 days.
