Four dead after four car crash in Springfield

COLORADO - The Colorado State Patrol is investigating a crash just north of Springfield Wednesday morning. According to reports a truck was traveling northbound on Colorado 287 when it went into the southbound lane colliding with three other vehicles. 

The impact caused one car to collide into a guard rail, the others were able to stop, but the truck causing the crash burst into flames. The truck driver 23-year old Shawn Einhaus and passenger 20-year old Andrew Blethen were pronounced dead on scene. 

The driver of one of the three vehicles 34-year old Craig Norberg and passenger 63-year old Wendy Norberg were later pronounced dead, due to fatal injuries. 

The two drivers and two passengers of the other two vehicles were transported to hospitals in Springfield, sustaining minor injuries. The victims were from Wichita Falls, Texas and Del City, Oklahoma.
