EL PASO COUNTY -

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office busts a drug trafficking organization with ties to Colorado Springs and Denver.

The operation stretched over several weeks and utilized officers with the Metro VNI Unit.

In all, law enforcement confiscated 10.78 pounds of heroin with a street value of $2.4 million dollars. They also found 38.35 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $6.3 million dollars, 51 grams of heroin, 2 grams of cocaine, several guns and $24,000 in cash.

    Phil Long dealerships released the following statement Monday afternoon: "We are evaluating the events of the weekend. It is important to state that we haven't fired Von. We are in the middle of contract renewal and this weekend's events remind us that sometimes we feel that we best represent ourselves."
