Friday Football Fever Week 2: Final Scores

Here we go week 2 of the high school football season is now in the books. The Friday Football Fever crew was all over Colorado Springs and Pueblo gathering highlights from more than a dozen games.

We aren't able to make it to every single game, so help cheer on your favorite team using the Scorestream app. You're able to provide scores, upload photos and videos to the app and share them on social media.

The Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans were looking to earn a win in a rematch from a blowout last year at the hands of the Pomona Panthers. But the out-of-towners were too tough, pulling off a 42-7 win Friday night. 

Pomona is one of the deepest tradition rich programs in the state. They played in the 5A title game last year vs. Valor. They are #2 in the Rankings.

Fountain-Fort Carson aka FFC (not ranked) is in their second year under new leadership with Jake Novotny as their head coach. Tons of talent and athleticism and maybe getting turned in the right corner. The Trojans won last week, beating Ralston Valley, 21-6.

Palmer Ridge topped the Liberty Lancers with a final of 51 - 13.

The Classical Titans were able to handle the Sterling Tigers winning 24-7.

Denver South trails Mesa Ridge with a final 37-34.

The Monarch Coyotes topped the Rampart Rams with a final of 14-7.

Rampart is now off to a 2-1 start. QB Keion Cross has exploded onto the scene before this game, averaging almost 120 yards rushing a game with four touchdowns. Monarch isn't ranked but they are right on the cusp in 4A, Rampart is 8th right now.

Cheyenne Mountain Indians shut out the Sierra Stallions with a 31-0 final.

The Centaurus Warriors trailed the Harrison Panthers until the end with a final score of 42-14.

The Highland Huskies beat the Peyton Panthers 13-7.

The Fort Morgan Mustangs won 31 to 8 over the Falcon Falcons.

Discovery Canyon Campus picked up a 28-14 victory over Brighton.

Vista Ridge got the best of the Sand Creek Scorpions with a final score of 49-14.

The Chatfield Chargers came to Colorado Springs and left with a shut out of the Palmer Terrors. Final score 57-0.

The Air Kadets slipped out with a 7-6 win over the Woodland Park Panthers.

The Canon City Tigers hold a commanding lead and win 63-23 against the Pueblo County Hornets.

Pueblo West won 36-14 over Pueblo East. The 4A/3A crossover. 3-time state champion Pueblo East Eagles got smacked by Longmont in Week one, 31-6. The lost their top preseason ranking with the loss but stayed in the top 10. They are trying for their 4th straight 3A title. Pueblo West whipped Pueblo County in the Pigskin Classic last week.

Colorado Springs Christian blanked the Dolores Huerta Scorpions with a final of 54-0.

Pine Creek vs Windsor:  Final Pine Creek wins 10-0.

#1 vs. #3 in 4A. Pine Creek is the defending 4A champs (3 of the last 4) and they head north to Windsor. Second straight week for Pine Creek on the road. The game could be a preview of the 4A title game.

Doherty 27, Cherry Creek 33.

#10 vs. #7 in 5A. Another top ten match up but this one in the highest classification in the state. Doherty dropped 83 on Rangeview (also gave up 55 in the game, one of the largest point totals in state 11-man football history. Doherty's Julian Cooks is one of the best running backs in the state, he had 5 touchdowns and 300 yards in week one. Creek lost in week one.
