All motor vehicle offices in El Paso County and Pueblo are closed Friday because of a statewide outage in service.

The Pueblo County Motor Vehicle Registration Office closed as of 9:00 a.m. Friday morning, that is the office located inside of the Historic Pueblo County Courthouse. A Pueblo County spokesperson said they will continue to post updates about the situation on their Facebook page.

In El Paso County, the outage is affecting all five motor vehicle branches.

"Unfortunately, we are continuing to experience problems for all motor vehicle and driver's license services. We have been working hard this morning to try to resolve the problems, but connections have been intermittent," said Clerk and Recorder Chuck Broerman. "We appreciate our customers' understanding and patience."

Recording, marriage license and election services will still be available.

There are also reports that the outage is affecting the Pueblo County's Department of Social Services, rendering them unable to process applications for immediate assistance.

Paper applications are still being accepted as well as other eligibility related documents are still being accepted and all of the offices are open. More information about when services are expected to be restored can be found on Pueblo County's website.
