COLORADO SPRINGS -

Colorado Springs police are investigating a reported attempted kidnapping on Thursday.

The victim is a 17-year-old girl who told police she was approached by four men in a red Jeep in the area of San Miguel and Murray at about 3:15 p.m. She said the driver got out of the vehicle and spoke to her on the sidewalk, at one point grabbing her by the wrist.

She told police she was able to pull away and continued walking away, while the vehicle took off in the opposite direction.

The only description of the suspects are four dark skinned males and the victim didn't see the vehicle license plates. Police said there have been no other reported incidents in that area at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
