EL PASO COUNTY -

A serious crash closed eastbound Highway 24 and the southbound lanes of Marksheffel Road from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. in eastern Colorado Springs.

The Cimarron Hills Fire Department worked to treat 4 people injured when a work truck was hit by a cement truck at the intersection. News 5 is told 1 of the 4 patients in seriously injured. 

Drivers used an alternate route via northbound Marksheffel Rd to Constitution Avenue.
