Friday Football Fever: Week 1

It feels good to be back.

Friday Football Fever has returned with week one action across Colorado with crews gathering highlights from more than a dozen games across the area.

GAME OF THE WEEK: PUEBLO COUNTY VS. PUEBLO WEST

Last year's matchup between the Hornets and the Cyclones ended in a 34-20 victory for Central, but the hornets ended up only winning four more games the rest of the season, going 5-5 and missing the playoffs.

West responded to the week one loss, going 7-4 in 2016 and making the postseason.

This year, West struck first and dominated the first half, winning 21-0 at the break. West would go on to take care of business in the second half, winning 28-7.

    The death of Tim Watkins has turned into a homicide investigation. Watkins' body found in the very place where he loved to ride on Sunday and there remain a lot of unanswered questions a day later. This news has most people on edge in the heart of Palmer Lake, with a strong warning from the El Paso County Sheriff's Office to remain vigilant. "It's a small town, you feel safe in a town like this, that's why people move here," David Tenace, a neighbor said.
